Tribute to Coretta Scott King
Coretta Scott King,78, will be buried on Tuesday, February 7th. Her body lays in Atlanta for the time being where mourners are still coming to say farewell and prayers. King is the first woman and the first African American to lie in honor in what was once a seat of segregation; the Georgia Capitol.
King died on January 30 during her sleep. She was fighting her illness and trying to recover from a stroke she suffered in May of last year. Cancer had weakened her body already. Her death was hard on her four children who said they found great support in the American public. Her son Dexter told the Washington Post it was particularily hard for him because she died on his birthday.
President Bush and the first lady will attend the funeral said Evans, a Newsday correspondant.
My take on this is that Mrs King definitely is a role model for all the people who strive for social equity and justice. It is only normal for people accross the nation to remember her not only as the wife of a great leader, but also as an entity of her own. She has fought for civil liberties and equity.

You definitely get bonus points for the use of multimedia. Provocative topics show a lot of thought and research. Good job.
